Pourquoi Tu Gâches Ta Vie?

Happy holidays everyone!

I put together this little video as a way to look back at 2012 and to share with you some of our favorite moments of the past year.  We had a terrific year and are thankful for the many memories we created with friends and family.  Over the course of 2012 we were fortunate enough to visit Spain, Italy and Morocco as well as new regions in France and the U.K.  And while we tried desperately to make it to New York City – Hurricane Sandy saw to it that our plans were spoiled.  Hopefully, 2013 will bring a trip to the Big Apple – they say that good things come to those who wait.  We shall see.

In the meantime, we continue to nurture our Provencal roots.  The kids’ French is now officially far superior to ours (mine and Armon’s) and their accents are better than ours will ever be…  Armon continues to split his time between London and here; while I continue to explore various projects and new experiences (Ecole Chocolat, producing an outdoor opera, mastering duck confit and trying not to ditch the car while driving on these overly skinny French roads).  We will begin a new renovation project during the next few months – our first in France (and hopefully not last).  And we are looking forward to all that 2013 will invariably bring.

And if you watch the video – a quick comment on the song choice:  Elle Me Dit, Mika.  I adore Mika – his intelligent and often quirky lyrics.  This song makes me smile.  One bit in particular says it all to me:

Pourquoi tu gâches ta vie?
Danse danse danse danse elle me dit danse

Why are you wasting your life?  Dance dance dance dance – she tells me to dance.

I wish you lots of dancing in 2013.
